The customer: Tnuva
The solution: Pick by Voice system
Tnuva, Israel's largest food conglomerate, was founded in 1926 and markets fresh goods. Tnuva's is organized in 4 divisions: The dairy group, the meat division, the egg division and Tnuva-Chef. The dairy group has a market share of over 70% of the diary market in Israel.
Tnuva's distribution centers receive about 3,400,000 goods every day. The distribution center sorts the goods and performs picks of orders to be delivered by customer orders through its lines of delivery.

 

 


Tnuva's motivation for implementing a pick by voice systems in its distribution centers:
To remain a market and technological leader in its sector.
To improve the control and flow of data in the supply chain.
TO improve processes, thereby reducing the number of errors and saving costs.
Since 2006, the pick by voice system is operational in Tnuva's DCs providing a wide variety of activities such as picking, replenishment, disposal, returns, stocktaking and more.
Before the system was implemented, Tnuva used standard handheld terminals.


 


The customer: Israel Electric Corp.
The solution: a nationwide meter monitoring systems
Israel Electric Corp. is the sole integrated electric utility in the State of Israel and generates, transmits and distributes substantially all the electricity used in the State of Israel.The electricity is distributed to 2.3 million customers and is essential for the existence of trade and industry in Israel.
The IEC generates electricity using 61 production units at 17 sites situated throughout Israel.
It has over 2 million meters dispersed in the country at the end points of the distribution network. These meters are read monthly by a crew of hundreds of IEC meter monitors.

The requirement:
A comprehensive and advanced solution (software and hardware) for reading electric meters – including manual data entry from simple meters and intelligent data capture through non-standard RS232 connectivity to complex meters.

The solution:
A full turnkey system delivered which included all the functionality of the previous system on an advanced software platform running on modern handheld terminals connected through the cellular network to a gateway server and through the server to the legacy billing systems. The system is also barcode & RFID ready.
